Berkeley Earth Studies report confirming climate warming data funded by denier Koch brothers

In a twist of delicious irony, a new study just released by Berkeley Earth Studies established by University of California physics professor Richard Muller and funded by a number of groups including those lobbying against action on climate change such as the Koch brothers has confirmed what many of us have already known: that surface temperatures of the Earth have warmed by 1-1.8 degrees since the mid 1950's and that this corrolates to the data as presented by U.S. and UK agencies. (Which also shows the criminality of the hacking of climate scientist e-mails in East Anglia that was known as "climategate" rather than climate-email-hacking-gate.) Of course, not a peep on this from the complicit oil/coal/natural gas sponsored American media.

This disputes the outright misrepresentations presented by climate skeptics such as Christopher Monckton and others who have contended along with the aid of such media farces as FOX that the Earth has actually cooled and that global warming actually wasn't happening at all.

Berkely Earth Summary

Koch Brother funded study confirms climate data

Mr. Gore writes on this report on his blog here. All I can say is that neither he nor any of us should expect an apology for the damage caused by these liars. Nor do I expect that they will have an attack of conscience and finally realize what the true cost of those lies have been and will be. They serve a higher master and it is Mammon and the profit excreted from a dirty, toxic, unhealthy industry that has colluded with governments and banking organizations worldwide in perpetuating their status quo at the expense of our environment, health and future climate balance. Soulless people such as these do not have the capacity to understand the nuances of moral integrity and social/climate justice.

It would surely be a validation of the Mayan 2012 prophecy if they actually did have a moral epiphany at this point. Whether they do or not however, we don't have time to wait for it. As this data corroborates the Earth is swiftly heading towards a tipping point of irreversible consequences that will alter the way in which we live on this planet as it will be harder to sustain the systems that actually give us life. Agriculture, water and other species are already being affected by this.

So how long do we give them to come around before we decide to move?

In light of this I will be watching Durban, South Africa and COP 17. Let's see just how much of a change this will really make. And gee, do you think if I send this study to President Obama he won't approve the Keystone XL pipeline? I suppose only if his newly employed Keystone XL lobbyist advisor approves...More to come I'm sure.

Oh, and as a comment to the usual responses on Huffington Post regarding your same post on this:

Well guess what Mr. Gore.... Humans are simply not up to this task. We are a failure on the whole as a species. The majority are so engaged in politically partisan, ideological, egotistical bickering and one upping that the truth of the situation doesn't show up as a blip on any of their screens. I honestly don't know why you waste any time posting anything on this site or anywhere else about this on the Internet as it is obvious that it is exactly money that is all anyone cares about. The true value of this world we are destroying is lost on them. They yammer on and on and on about addressing this costing money but haven't a clue as to the damage already being done around the world to culture, biodiversity, other species, and the systems that keep us thriving because of climate change because they never look beyond their modems and their own damn wallets as they stew in their ignorance and apathy.

What can I say? It is frustrating to say the least.
